Shipping policy


1. Order Processing Time

All TRL Tables products are built to order unless otherwise stated.

  • Standard production time: 6–8 weeks
  • Custom upholstery, logos, or modifications may extend production time
  • Orders are processed Monday–Friday (excluding holidays)
  • You will receive an order confirmation email once your purchase is completed

Production timelines are estimates and not guaranteed delivery dates.

2. Shipping Coverage

We ship North America wide (Canada & USA).

  • Free standard freight shipping is included on eligible products
  • Remote locations may incur additional carrier surcharges
  • International shipping outside North America requires a custom quote

 

 

3. Freight Delivery (Large Equipment)

Most of our products ship via LTL freight carriers due to size and weight.

Standard Freight Includes:

  • Curbside delivery only
  • Delivery to ground level
  • No inside placement
  • No unpacking
  • No debris removal

The carrier is responsible for delivering the pallet to the closest accessible curbside location.

4. Liftgate & Inside Delivery Services

If your location does not have:

  • A loading dock
  • Forklift access
  • Receiving staff available

You must request liftgate service prior to shipment.

Additional services may include:

  • Liftgate delivery
  • Inside delivery
  • Residential delivery
  • Limited access delivery
  • Appointment scheduling

If these services are not requested in advance and are required at time of delivery, the carrier will apply additional charges (typically $150–$499+) which will be billed to the customer.

Failure to disclose delivery limitations does not waive carrier charges.

5. Delivery Appointments

Freight carriers typically contact you to schedule a delivery window.

It is the customer’s responsibility to:

  • Provide accurate contact information
  • Be available during delivery window
  • Ensure proper manpower for unloading

Missed delivery appointments may result in:

  • Re-delivery fees
  • Storage fees
  • Additional carrier charges

6. Inspection Upon Delivery (VERY IMPORTANT)

You must inspect your shipment at the time of delivery.

Before signing the Bill of Lading (BOL):

  • Check for visible damage to packaging
  • Note any damage clearly on the BOL
  • Take photos immediately
  • Refuse delivery if severe damage is present

If you sign “clear” without noting damage, you accept the shipment as received in good condition.

Claims submitted after clean signature may be denied by the carrier.

All damage claims must be reported within 24 hours of delivery with photos.

7. Customs, Duties & Taxes (USA Orders)

For U.S. customers:

  • We may ship DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) or DAP depending on shipment structure.
  • Any applicable duties, brokerage, or customs fees are the responsibility of the buyer unless otherwise agreed in writing.

If customs clearance is delayed due to missing documentation from the customer, any storage or hold fees will be billed to the customer.

8. Tracking & BOL

Once your order ships, you will receive:

  • Bill of Lading (BOL)
  • Carrier name
  • Tracking information
  • Estimated arrival date

Please monitor tracking directly with the carrier.

Shipping delays caused by:

  • Weather
  • Carrier scheduling
  • Port congestion
  • Customs
  • Mechanical delays

Are outside of TRL Tables’ control.

9. Shipping Delays

Estimated delivery windows are not guaranteed.

Production delays or freight delays do not qualify for:

  • Refunds
  • Chargebacks
  • Order cancellations once shipped

We ship over 300 tables monthly and coordinate logistics carefully; however, freight timelines may vary.

10. Refused Deliveries

If a shipment is refused for reasons not related to confirmed damage:

Customer is responsible for:

  • Round-trip freight charges
  • Storage fees
  • 30% restocking fee (if applicable)

Refusal due to failure to request liftgate or access limitations does not waive freight charges.

11. Order Cancellation Policy

  • Orders may only be canceled within 24 hours of purchase.
  • Once production has started, cancellations are not permitted.
  • Once shipped, orders cannot be canceled.
  • All sales are final.

12. Storage Fees

If a shipment is held due to:

  • Customer unavailability
  • Customs hold caused by missing documentation
  • Refused delivery

Carrier storage fees may apply and will be charged to the customer.

13. Damaged or Missing Items

If an item arrives damaged or missing:

  1. Email support@therehablab.ca within 24 hours
  2. Include photos and BOL copy
  3. Include order number

We will work with the carrier to resolve the issue promptly.

Replacement timelines depend on:

  • Part availability
  • Carrier claim approval

14. Split Shipments

Some orders may ship in multiple packages (e.g., table, stool, red light panel).

Each tracking number may have a different arrival date.

15. Force Majeure

TRL Tables is not liable for delays caused by:

  • Natural disasters
  • Port strikes
  • Government actions
  • Customs delays
  • Pandemic-related disruptions
  • Carrier operational issues
